Roof below the purlin. This structure consists of large vertical posts set in concrete spaced at 10 foot. With taped seams this also acts as a vapor barrier. With stick framed construction the vertical supports are spaced 16 apart and cause more interruptions in insulation coverage.

To super insulate your walls apply two inch or thicker high r insulation sheeting to the inside of the girts.
